Film 143 in the "1001 Films to See Before You Die" challenge is 1948's "Louisiana Story". This drama is about a Cajun boy and his pet raccoon who live in the bayous of Louisiana. Well... I say drama... It's feels more like a documentary. I managed about 13 minutes before I actually fell asleep. Nothing happens in this film. You spend more time staring at water than finding out anything about the plot. All I got out of the film before I fell asleep was that everyone who lives in bayous are mumblers. I couldn't make out what anyone was saying because the audio quality is terrible and the picture quality is so bad that it took me two minutes to properly notice the main character. If anything did happen, I either didn't notice it or didn't care about it. This film was re-released in 1952 under the name "Cajun", and was shown as a second feature with Armand Denis's "Watusi". On that note, if you have seen this film then let me know what you thought of it in the comments. Here is what I had to say while watching 1948's "Louisiana Story"

Reading
This film only has five people in it!?!
Welcome to Louisiana
Random shots of bayous
Just a boy rowing through the bayou
"His name is Alexander"
Spent more time staring at water than anything else
All this water makes me wanna pee
Hello aligator
Why does he have bag of salt strapped to his waist?
This is a drama?
Hello raccoon
Those weeds are taller than him
Since when do guns sound like cannons?
Looks like Bob the Builder has arrived
I'm alread bored and I've only done 9 minutes
At a hut
I can't make out what anyone's saying - Poor film quality
Is that the film crew laughing? - Sounds like lots of people for a hut that has three people in it
The boy returns home and spots a boat - Let's just ignore that
